Publishing rules
The gallery is open to everyone. These few rules keep it pleasant and safe.
What you can publish
- A theme made with the RL-UI editor. Themes only hold data and images: no code, no style sheet. This is checked automatically on upload, then a second time by the application before every install.
- Your own work. You may take inspiration from an existing theme; you may not republish someone else's.
- Images you have the right to use: your own, or royalty-free images. No team, brand or character logo without its owner's agreement.
- An honest name and description, saying what the theme is.
What does not belong here
- Hateful, discriminatory, sexual or violent content, and anything illegal.
- Harassment and other people's personal information.
- Pretending to be someone else.
- Advertising, and themes unrelated to a Rocket League overlay.
What publishing means
- Gallery themes are free.
- You remain the author of your theme. By publishing it, you allow everyone to install it, use it on their stream and adapt it for their own use.
- You can hide or delete your theme at any time. People who already installed it keep it.
Reports and moderation
- Every theme page has a "Report" link. Reports are read by a person.
- A theme reported by 3 different accounts is hidden automatically until it is checked.
- A theme that breaks these rules is removed. For repeated or serious abuse, the account is suspended.
